One Year

Today is our one year wedding anniversary.
We went to church this morning, Jason became an official member and we enjoyed a big breakfast afterwards for the new members and confirmation students.
When we got home, we exchanged gifts. Jason got me (paper) tickets to the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and Big & Rich concert July 27th. http://www.cfdrodeo.com/ (Our friends get married the next day so we won’t party too hard!)
He also installed some fancy "racing" foot peddles in my Honda!
I gave him some photographs, a coupon book, and a “how-to remodel your kitchen” guide. He wants to re-do the kitchen next March!
We are getting ready to go for a drive/hike with the dogs. It is a beautiful day here, high in the 50s with very little wind!
Tonight I’ll make pasta with smoked salmon and cream sauce with a yummy salad.
This coming Thursday we leave for Grand Junction, CO to attend the Colorado Wyoming Museum Association conference. Jason has graciously taken time off to go with me. He’ll be on his own while I’m in class, but the evening events are for friends and family.
Better sign off, Jason is waiting…

Just an Update

About a month ago, in March, we had a warm day and decided to picnic in the great outdoors. We went to Curt Gowdy State Park just outside of Laramie. Jason’s parents came with us. Needless to say, in the elements, it was still really cold. You can see snow and ice along the bank. Shelby wasn’t interested in going in the water. I hope when it really warms up, she’ll enjoy a swim now and then.

We spent Easter with Jason’s grandparents in Wheatland, WY. It was so much fun hanging out with all the aunts, uncles, and cousins. Here is Kayle, Lisa, and Aspen decorating Easter eggs. They let me help. Mine is the beachball with purple splatter on the far left, front.
This weekend Jason was on an “undercover” assignment so it was just me and the dogs. I got part of the house cleaned and Shelby bathed. Tilley wasn’t about to get into the bathtub and I didn’t push the issue. We’ll wait till Jason gets home!

I’ve got a busy two weeks ahead of me. This coming week I will spend installing exhibits, working on the finishing touches and giving school tours. Next week I attend the Colorado Wyoming Museum Association as a speaker. I’ll also be taking classes during the day on museum related issues.

On the 30th of April, my good friend Erin and her husband Alex will be passing through Laramie on their way to Beatrice, NE. Erin got a job at the Homestead National Monument of America, run by the National Park Service. Another West Georgia graduate moves out West!

Most exciting, Jason and I will celebrate our one year wedding anniversary a week from today (April 22nd). Looking back over this wonderful year, I am reminded how luck and blessed I am to have such an amazing husband. I am also thankful for our family and friends who welcomed us with open arms and continue send their support from afar. Thanks for keeping us in your prayers and thoughts. -The Treysons
